The Ingo Maurer Seven Rats was designed by Ingo Maurer and his team in the year of 2007. As the name suggests, seven rat figures are housed in cages. Four black and three white rats are spread over several cages. The rats as well as the cages are illuminated from below, the light intensity can be continuously controlled with a dimmer on the supply line. The cable has a length of 350 cm. A low-voltage halogen energy saving lamp with a maximum power of 50 watts is used as the light source. The cages are made of golden-plated steel and brass. The lamp has a height of 85 cm as well as a width of 40 cm.
